The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee’s grant helps lift the financial burdens a student organization may bear when planning its programs, motivating them to focus on program quality and efficacy. We encourage collaboration between student organizations; however, it is acceptable that you hold an event mainly geared toward your organization.
Student organizations are permitted to request up to $500 for their events during the school year. Any amount exceeding $500 will be handled on a case-by-case basis. An itemized list will need to be provided on the form so organizations can fill in the items they wish to allocate funds. Interviews will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

If you collaborate with another organization, SORC will deposit money into only ONE of the organization’s accounts. It is up to the student organizations involved to designate ONE organization as the primary contact, and that organization will receive the funds. It will take approximately 2 weeks for you to receive the funds.
