Mackenzie Ball
Mackenzie is responsible for the strategic planning, creation, and implementation of SCI’s outreach and alumni engagement programs and initiatives. She oversees diversity programs and the recruitment of underrepresented students to the SCI. Also, she manages SCI’s scholarships and all student organizations. She is the Director of the school’s Technology Leadership Initiative, Advisor to the Women in Computer Science Club and the Computer Science Club, and Chair of the NCWIT Western PA Aspirations in Computing Affiliate. Lastly, Mackenzie is senior personnel on an NSF INCLUDES Alliance: “The STEM PUSH (Pathways for Underrepresented Students to Higher-Ed) Network” 2019- 2024 and on the leadership team for the Broadening Equity in STEM Center (BE STEM) on campus. She is network member of Remake Learning, CSforPGH, and the Pittsburgh STEM Learning Ecosystem.
