Committee Member

Mateen Kaşım

Hello! My name is Mateen Kasim, and I’m serving as a member of the Judicial Committee for the 2020-2021 academic year. I’m from Scranton (the Electric City!), but Pittsburgh is where I love to be. I’m a tenor II in the Heinz Chapel Choir and a member of the Pitt CS club. I’m an academic at heart, loving everything from literature to physics to philosophy to biology – if I can learn about it, I will learn about it! I’ve also been a TA for the chemistry department and assisted in research at UPMC, and in my free time, I love running, journaling, and exploring Pittsburgh.

This is my first year in Student Government, so I’m super excited to give it my all serving in the Judicial Committee this year. Our university is such a wonderful, compassionate community, and I cannot wait to give back to our student body! If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
