Join SGB

Want to know one of the great things about SGB at Pitt? There is no need to run in an election to be an effective and important member! Most of our committees have open membership so you can get involved with whatever you're passionate about. Whether you're a first-year student or a senior, Student Government Board will allow you to shape your University to create the best collegiate experience for the Pitt community.

Come to our public meeting on Tuesday at 8:45pm in (WPU) Nordy’s Place to speak to a committee chair, Board Member, or the President. If you have any general questions about how to get involved, please reach out to sgbpresident@pitt.edu.

  • Judicial Committee Member: Applications to be reviewed on a rolling basis with a final deadline of Tuesday, January 31st, 2023 at 3:00pm
  • First Year Council: Applications are now closed.

    • Conditional Committees

    All Conditional Committees (except Diversity and Inclusion) listed under the Cabinet are open to any Pitt student! Each committee meets weekly to work on various projects. If you are interested in joining any of the following, please find their meeting time at the links below and contact the committee's chair with any questions.
