Join SGB

Want to know one of the great things about SGB at Pitt? There is no need to run in election to be an effective and important member! Most of our committees have open membership so you can get involved with whatever you're passionate about. Whether you're a freshman or a senior, Student Government Board will allow you to shape your University to create the best collegiate experience for the Pitt community.

Interested? Stop by our office in 848 William Pitt Union anytime, or come to our Public Meetings on Tuesdays at 8:45pm to speak to a committee chair, Board Member, or the President.

Current openings

Applications for the Communications Committee, First-Year Council, and reserved spots on the Allocations Committee for First-Year Students will reopen in August

Conditional Committees

All Conditional Committees listed under the Cabinet are open to any Pitt student! If you are interested in joining any of the following, please contact the committee's Chair:

If you have any issues with submission or have any questions please contact Max Kneis at SGBPres@pitt.edu

Stay Involved

You can still stay involved in SGB without joining a committee!
